Camera Help!

My birthday is slowly approaching, as is Christmas so without fail my mom is begging me for my birthday/christmas list!
Ok, fine mom, I'll give you a list of really expensive stuff I can't buy myself...

So I want a camera for my birthday/christmas but I don't know where to begin. I am not a photographer and I know nothing about fancy cameras!

All I know is that I want to stick with Canon, I've always had Canon cameras and I understand them and know how to use them for the most part!
I will only be using it for everyday just fun/blogging picture taking!

Kinda like this one, but I know nothing about it or why I even like it
Canon EOS Rebel T3

But I also don't know anything else about other cameras sooooo here is where I need y'all...

What cameras do you use?
What camera do you wish you had?
What do you love/not love about your camera?

I need to know it all, I want a camera of my own so badly!

so go...

  1. i have the canon t3i. it's an awesome camera that takes great pictures and pretty easy to use. definitely some complicated areas that i haven't mastered, but for the most part, it can be simple.

  2. As you know I have the Canon t3i...it is perfect. It literally doesn't take a bad photo- even if I tried! With D-SLR cameras like this it is really about trial and error to see how you shoot, what works, what doesnt! It is amazing how great this camera is!!

  3. I use the Rebel T3 and I love. You can make it simple for starting out, but it has the capability to be more complex the more you learn. Definitely recommend, and stay with Canon!!

  4. Canon is the best! I can help with any questions you have! You should also ask for Adobe Lightroom 4 for the easiest editing and organizing. :) I love your blog!

  5. Forgot to answer the questions... I use a Canon 7d and 5d mark II... I want a 5d III, one day... But what I have found makes the most difference is the lens. Canon's prime lenses (non-zoom) are always the sharpest. I would highly recommend the Canon 50mm 1.8 (only $100!). If only you lived closer, you could borrow some of my lenses! Come visit!

  6. I like Canon, much easier to use. Don't buy the bottom of the barrel, they lose their value so quickly because they are always adding more. And don't buy the camera with the kit lens! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!! Buy the body and then buy a 50mm 1.8 or 50mm 1.4! The t3i would be better for only about $100 more.
