I have been wanting to make my own burlap wreath for months now! First of all, I live no where near a craft store and second, I tend to mess up DIY crafts pretty darn bad!
Yesterday I was in a part of town I am not to familiar with and saw a Michael's Craft store, so I went it. The first thing I saw was a massive bin of burlap, it was a sign!
I browsed through the store and decided to grab what I thought I would need to create my own burlap wreath.
-14 in. styrofoam wreath circle
-(2) 10 yards of burlap
-ribbon of your choice
-hot glue gun
-door hanger
I started by wrapping the burlap around the wreath so none of the green showed
I cut off the edge once I wrapped it all around and pinched the burlap together to start the looping look
I don't really know how to describe this but I basically just folded the burlap in half and would bend it ever so often and hot glue it down. Does that make sense?
Once I went around the entire wreath I hot glued it to the back and cut the edge off
I then cut a few squares of burlap to fill in the holes in the loops
After filling and hot gluing a few corners down I created a sad, sad bow and tied that on! Don't hot glue your bow so you can change it!
Viola! All done!
So easy and so fun! I can't wait to learn how to make some better bows and change them out for the holidays!

Very cute!
