Y'all, what is life right now? I have been SO consumed in school I don't know left from right. However, my first official day of Summer was yesterday! Here is a little catch up on my life via Instagram and a few more!

We had a cool weather day, which was awful, however I am loving my new 7 jeans!

School was basically kicking my butt the past two weeks so one night I had to resort to wine and pj's at 5pm.

Jimmy Buffett was in Charlotte last Thursday and I couldn't go so I went through all my pictures of the last concert I went to and maybe cried.

I've always been a fan of the red lips but I'm super digging them lately, especially with my Zara top!

Roxbury, oh Roxbury how I love you so! The 80's music always makes me dance all night long.

Petal Party Recap

Last week was mine and Emily's girl's night out Petal Boutique! The event was also The Charlotte Social's April meet-up, it was such a great turn out! The store was filled with bright springy colors and so many perfect items for everyone's wardrobe! 

There was sweet treats, champagne and mocktails for our little preggo members!

Top 5 Tuesday: Home Decor

I feel like I have really dropped the ball on my home decor posts. When we bought out house I did a home tour a few months later but SO much has changed since then! When I saw that my friend Rachel had today's Top 5 Tuesday topic at home decor I decided to join in on the fun!

1. Leopard Print anything, preferably stairs. We own our home so this would be easy to do, however, try convincing the male of the house that this is necessary! I love our stairs but it's also not the perfect staircase to do this on, maybe our next home?

2. A neutral and bright bedroom, I have always wanted a totally monochromatic, neutral, but "bright" bedroom. This picture captures my vision perfectly. Neutral colors, bright lights, and girly accents. I just die over this room, I know it is far from realistic but a girl can dream!

3. Gold pillows, lots of gold pillows, different shapes, styles and prints! I recently purchased a linen, tufted storage bench for our living room, I plan to use it also as extra seating when we need it so it needs pillows! I am still on the hunt for the perfect pillows but I love the gold theme!

4. A closet, not a huge, I turned a room into a closet, but just a nice walk-in closet. I want to be able to see everything I own without having to switch out seasons and stuff things into drawers! I really want to be able to see my shoes, all of them, not just some of them!

and this is what I currently have... I tried! If only it looked this put together everyday! 

5. Fun, eclectic, different pieces! I love the few prints I have around the house that say fun things or remind people of stuff! I recently found this Charlotte print from Paper Skyscraper (in store only) and knew it had to be in our home!

Not So Normal

Back in September I was asked by a local photographer to help her out with a different type of photo shoot, a "fine art", rustic shoot. Well heck, why not? I am no model, I never claimed to be nor will I ever be one, but I sure did have some fun being someones model for the afternoon! This shoot was kinda "dark" for me, I love smiling and being happy and colorful so this was a little off for me but I ended up loving it!

Please be nice! I was supposed to be "all natural", so I was! 

Top 5 Tuesday

My J. Crew Factory Emery flats are hands down my favorite flats for any type of weather. They go with so much and can really add something to an outfit! Obviously on my list is the Tory Burch Miller sandal, I don't know any other sandal that goes with anything and is so comfy! Another sandal I love and wear religiously are the Ayden sandal by Dolce Vita, I love this sandal since it's neutral and fun! It goes with everything and comes in a variety of colors! About 3-4 summers ago I purchased some Michael Kors wedges and have worn them to the bone! They are a platinum color and will literally go with every outfit for warmer weather, dress, shorts and jeans! My final favorite warm weather shoe are TOMS, they are so comfy and cute and can be thrown on with shorts or pants while at the beach or anywhere!

Petal Party!

Petal is one of my favorite boutiques in Charlotte, I have always adored their store and merchandise! Petal offers a great selection of items from a low to high price range and everything in between! I have never been able to leave this store without a few items in tow! 

The colors and patterns are always eye catching and perfectly laid out to help you find the right outfit for any occasion!

A few of my favorite pieces in the store right now are this printed skirt and perfect summer wedges! 

I then fell in love with this printed top, I talked Monday about my favorite floral finds and this is one to add to that list! My entire outfit is from Petal and around $100! 

Since Petal is one of my favorite boutiques I invite y'all to join Emily and I at Petal on Thursday, April 17th from 6-8pm for a girl's night out party! There will be champagne, treats and 20% off the entire store!
